The euro exchange rate exceeded 75 rubles for the first time in a year

The euro exchange rate in over-the-counter trading on the Moscow Exchange on the evening of March 5 exceeded 75 rubles for the first time since March 2019. At the maximum, the cost of one euro reached 75.94 rubles.

The dollar exchange rate during the auction reached 67.79 rubles.

• The ruble has been declining against the euro and the dollar over the past two weeks. This is happening against the backdrop of the development of the coronavirus epidemic and the resulting decline in oil prices and a drop in investor interest in emerging market assets.
