In St. Petersburg, the first case of coronavirus was officially confirmed. This was reported by Fontanka with reference to Rospotrebnadzor. Infection was found in a student from Italy who arrived in St. Petersburg from Milan.

The department noted that the disease proceeds in a mild clinical form, symptomatic therapy is performed. The patient's condition is satisfactory.

According to the publication, the Italian student of the SZGMU named after Ricardo flew to Russia on February 29, at the exit from the plane he had normal temperature. However, on March 2, he felt bad and turned to the doctors. He was immediately placed in the infectious boxing of the Botkin hospital. At the same time, the student was met by a girl from the hostel on Svetlanovsky Prospekt, and he himself lived in a hostel on Enlightenment Avenue.

In addition to Ricardo, five students, with whom he talked after an arrival from Milan, was hospitalized due to quarantine in Koronavirus.
