Israel has introduced mandatory quarantine for all arrivals into the country

Israel to combat the spread of coronavirus introduced a mandatory two-week quarantine for all arriving in the country. This is reported by BBC News with reference to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

For Israeli citizens, the rule is valid from March 9, for foreigners - from March 12.

“After a day of difficult discussions, we have made a decision: everyone who comes to Israel from abroad will be in quarantine for 14 days,” Netanyahu said in a statement to BBC News.

According to the publication, there are currently 268,000 Israeli citizens abroad.
