Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has banned mass events of more than five thousand people until April 10. This was reported on the mayor's website.
The mayor explained the ban by the spread of coronavirus. “Today I signed a decree banning mass events with more than 5,000 participants in Moscow,” he said.
Sobyanin noted with regret that he would have to celebrate the Crimean Spring festival in honor of the anniversary of the annexation of the peninsula.
Today, March 10, Vladimir Putin supported the idea of resetting presidential terms after amending the Constitution, which will allow him to participate in elections again. In this regard, the opposition submitted three applications for rallies at the end of March.
Sobyanin supported the idea of zeroing the terms and called the ban on Putin being elected “a destabilizing factor.”
