The Kremlin has no more constitutional complexes anymore

Constitutional reform, announced by President Putin on January 15 as “the changes that are related”, was initially considered by many as foggy or even cosmetic. It was clear that the only goal of the Kremlin changes was to change anything. However, the question remained open: how exactly the extension of the powers of Vladimir Putin will be formed beyond the horizon of 2024.

However, by the second reading, constitutional amendments that were proposed to correct here, to strengthen the powers, and then the State Council has gained pasta. In the new text of the Constitution, contrary to the spirit and logic of the first two chapters of the Basic Law (this is where the secular nature of the state is guaranteed, the absence of official ideology and other “Heritage of the 90s”) was decided to introduce everything that was badly lying: God, man and woman, “memory of the ancestors”, transmitted to us, Russian language of the state-forming people ...

From the technical vote for the previous changes, the pseudo -referendum on April 22 turned into a plebiscite on the issue of traditional values, for a special path of Russia. And as a result - for the trust of the historical fate of the homeland to the first person.

After this touch of the 1993 Constitution and in the absence of a civil reaction (it is still clear that the epidemiological expectations and the fate of ruble accumulations are now much more topical folk topics than the separation of powers) could no longer restrain itself.

And the genuine, meaningful rout of the constitutional system began.

The performance was played before our eyes in a few hours on March 10 - against the backdrop of panic in the Russian stock market. The initiative to organize historical fidelity to the first person of the country has been undertaken by the several recently forgotten deputies of Vyacheslav Volodin. At first, they introduced a tactical bill on early elections to the Duma (it was not for nothing that since the beginning of the year such powerful political bodies as “for the truth!” Zakhara Prilepin, the party of fans of the tanks and the “strong women” under the ideological leadership of Joseph Prigozhin have been made to participate in the festival of democracy).

Then the first woman, who was in space, took the floor, Valentina Tereshkova, who hinted that it was time to put an end to universal hypocrisy. Everyone knows who leads the country, many people hope that he will continue his service for a long time, almost everyone has already realized why Russia in 2020 is a new edition of the Basic Law.

Tereshkova from the rostrum of the Duma offered what many of her colleagues dreamed about quietly: just to take and reset the presidential terms, since we have a new constitutional document. Allowed in the wave of urgent changes to Vladimir Putin to be elected to the presidency first in 2024 (or earlier), then in 2030, and then in the country, the changes will again be aroused, and the fairy tale will be repeated.

When Tereshkova made her speech, the cosmic abyss was revealed over the Russian Federation: all previous hydraulic scenes were discarded, we firmly in our development stood on the Central Asian path. Vyacheslav Volodin made, as some believe, a little premature pass to his president, and as Margarita Simonyan wrote, all those involved in the Russian politics were “dead”. The historical event was scheduled for 15 hours on March 10, 2020. For the first time in many years, the Russian parliament has become a place in which something really important happens.

The president’s speech was read on prepared paper and inflicted heavy emotional damage to those who were truly worried about “zeroing”. Putin strongly rejected the need for early elections to the Duma: they say, you will finalize it as it is with new powers, and we will see there. He stated that the restriction on the number of presidential terms should be strictly observed, because when the state will intensify enough, the replacement of the authorities will be required. Rhetorically, this prepared the soil under the final statement in the spirit that the deputies fell by a request to own them, but Putin refused and considers a new place of work after 2024.

But here the president makes the final statement, which crosses out or makes it not important the meaning of everything else. “The deadline is possible. If the Constitutional Court concludes that this does not contradict the Constitution, ”the president says. At that moment, a salvo of thousands of champagne bottles explodes in the offices of officials and top managers of state-owned companies, and the Russian Federation, as it was invented in 1993, was “reset”.

The Kremlin no longer has any constitutional complexes: Putin is ready to be in his post as many as he himself will consider the judges of the Constitutional Court himself and the assigned to him.

The calculation of the presidential terms makes no sense, as well as the “constitutional reform” itself, which was originally conceived as a complex and elegant way to solve the Kremlin problem-2024. Now they decided not to complicate and experience: the president simply may not go anywhere.

Probably, this is a memory, or rather, the call of the ancestors takes its own.
