The persecution of Soviet power to the Russian Church was such that it was not to say about their faith, but even silently follow it as a feat. The new martyrs and confessors, glorified in the face of the saints did not come: believed, prayed and meekly went to their Calvarys.
“Polit.ru” recalls those who gave their lives for faith and by whose prayers the Russian Church is alive - even if almost nothing came to us besides the name.
Publications were prepared by Kirill Kharatyan (included by the Russian authorities in the register of foreign agents).

In 1895, he arrived at the place of his new ministry - in the Crusader Church of the village of Kislovodskaya Stavropol province.

During his ministry in the village of Ust-Labinsk, Father Mikhail gained respect for the stanitsa of all classes as a kind, meek and responsive shepherd. None of the local Bolsheviks who personally knew Michael’s father personally rose to him. He was warned of danger, offered to escape or hide, but he courageously refused.
The priest was arrested on February 22, 1918, on the day of the Bolshevik troops from the neighboring village of Nikolaevsky, and on February 26, he was shot on a military square, 100 meters from the St. Nicholas Church. It is known that before the murder he was tormented for three days, from Friday to Sunday: they threw a rope loop around his neck, drove around the village, mocked and beat, inflicting a huge number of wounds, chopped off his fingers of his right hand so that he could not perform the procession. They demanded to renounce the Orthodox faith, to give church utensils from the temple. In the end, he already begged himself as soon as possible. When the body was found, it turned out to be more than ten wounds on it, the head was chopped into pieces. The Red Army forbade to betray the remains of the Earth, but the widow of Father Michael was able to find funds and redeem the body for burial.
During the reburial in 1919, according to some evidence, the priest’s body had no traces of smoldering.
