Yegor Lesnykh, who was sentenced to three years in the Moscow case, fell ill in a pre-trial detention center with influenza of an “unknown strain”. He is not receiving the necessary medical care. This was reported to OVD-Info by the fiancée of the convict Daria Blinova.
“On Tuesday, I received a letter, in which Egor says that he has been with a fever for 10 days, he is given antipyretics, she goes astray, but immediately rises. Dry cough becomes wet. They didn’t give normal medicines, ”said Blinova.
She also added that in the last letter, which arrived on March 11, Lesnykh said that his condition improved after he was given the medicines transferred to the pre-trial detention center on March 6.
The acting head of the pre-trial detention center told Blinova that Lesnykh "is under 'special control', as he is involved in a high-profile case" and the treatment "is being effective." At the same time, as the bride of the convict notes, earlier Lesnykh was given only “the cheapest paracetamol”.
As lawyer Eldar Garoz, representing the interests of the Lesnys, told MBKh Media, the defense is preparing a complaint to the Federal Penitentiary Service, the pre-trial detention center, the prosecutor's office for supervision of correctional institutions, demanding the hospitalization of the Lesnys.
