The situation with the spread of a new type of coronavirus in the world can be described as a pandemic.

This statement was made today by the head of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Goebreesus. "We came to the conclusion that the Covid-19 disease can be regarded as a pandemic," he said.

Goebreesus warned that in the coming days and weeks it was necessary to prepare to increase the number of infections, deaths from Covid-19 and the number of countries affected by the pandemia. Now cases of coronavirus infection are recorded in 109 states.

In Russia, the operational headquarters to combat the disease reported on Wednesday evening that over the past day, eight more cases of coronaviral infection have registered in the country, and the total number of sick reached 28. new cases were detected in six people in Moscow, and two in the Moscow region. It was established that all of them have visited Italy in the last two weeks. All hospitalized are in infectious boxes.

Also, the Russian operational headquarters said that from March 13, on March 13, due to the coronavirus, restrictions on air traffic with Italy, Germany, France and Spain are introduced, only separate flights will remain.

Aeroflot, meanwhile, reported on Wednesday that until the end of April would close the majority of flights to Italy, Spain, France and Germany . Flights to Italy will last only one direction - to Rome, while flights are canceled to Milan, Venice, Bologna, Verona and Naples. From the Spanish directions only Madrid and Barcelona will remain. Flights are canceled to Malaga, Valencia, Alicante, Palma de Mayorca and Tenerife. At the same time, due to the large number of Russian citizens on Tenerife from March 13 to 20, Aeroflot will operate charter flights "only to return passengers to the original transportation point," the report said.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal said on Wednesday that the country "actually stops air traffic with Italy." According to him, there is already a decision and airlines have begun to execute it. Shmygal also said that from March 12, Ukraine will partially close state borders due to the spread of coronavirus in the world. Starting from tomorrow, 49 will work out of 219 checkpoints.

Earlier it became known that from March 12 in Ukraine - a decision of the government - educational institutions will be closed within three weeks. According to official figures, there is only one sick in the country. There are five more patients under suspicion.
