The St. Petersburg search engine and treasure hunter Anton Kolomitsyn, who bought Soviet topographic cards and was accused of receipt of information constituting a state secret, was arrested for 2 months.

The judge of the Kirovsky district court Vetsky had to arrest Kolomitsyn in absentia, since he fled to the Netherlands and asked for political asylum there. The meeting was attended by the wife of the accused Daria Dedova, for whom her husband’s arrest was not a surprise: “I understand that they were obliged to do this processively, although so far, taking into account the fact that Anton is outside of Russia, this does not affect his position. I am not a lawyer, but I think that it is necessary to send a request for an international wanted list.”

According to Dedova, he and her husband decided to strengthen the defense and contact the team 29 , so now Anton will have two lawyers. The project manager Ivan Pavlov confirms that when it became known about the absentee arrest of Kolomitsyn, the team 29 accepted the order for his defense. According to Pavlov, this case is absurd: "The old topographic cards that were considered secret in the USSR cannot contain any state secrets - now that the satellites fly, and you can order any picture of any part of the Earth’s surface that a penny will be visible on it"

According to Pavlov, the article on which the treasure hunter is accused, suggests that the information containing a state of state should be acquired illegally - by blackmail, deception or threats to the use of violence, while Kolomitsyn bought cards on the market.

The lawyer believes that after absenteeism in absentia, it is unlikely that the authorities of any European country will decide on its issuance without waiting for a response to a request for political asylum.
