The head of the Committee on Culture of the Leningrad Region, Vladimir Tsoi, called the collapse of brickwork by a predictable event. According to him, in 2020, officials were supposed to show a project for the reconstruction of the fortress, and a year later restoration should begin.
According to official figures, 19.7 million rubles were spent on the restoration of the Koporskaya fortress from the budget of the Leningrad Region. Another 18.2 million was allocated for an archaeological examination of the fortress. Another contract related to work in the Koporskaya fortress cost the budget of the Leningrad region 15.4 million rubles.
