Russia has land borders with 14 countries. Due to coronavirus, crossing almost all borders is limited - only Azerbaijan, Belarus and Finland are open

As of March 15, without restrictions, you can cross the borders of Russia with three countries - Azerbaijan, Belarus and Finland.

On the borders with another 11 countries - Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia, Norway, Poland, North Korea, Ukraine and Estonia - there are certain restrictions.

So, for example, from March 16, the border between Russia and Georgia is closed, an exception will be made only for citizens returning to their countries. The border with Kazakhstan can no longer be crossed on internal documents, a passport is required. An exception is made for citizens of the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan returning to their countries. From March 17, Russians and Latvians returning home will be able to cross the border between the Russian Federation and Latvia only in private vehicles or on foot.

• In addition, passenger rail communication between Russia and a number of countries, including Ukraine, Latvia, Georgia, China, Mongolia and a number of others, has been completely stopped or limited.
• Air traffic is also limited, primarily with countries that have closed their borders, for example, with Norway, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and the Czech Republic, which have announced that they are closing entry to their territory for foreigners without a residence permit.
• Russia also limited communication with EU countries that did not close the borders, an exception was made only for direct regular flights from the capitals of EU member countries to Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport Terminal F, as well as charters.
