A case was opened against the head of the Council of Teips after an appeal for amendments to the Constitution

In Ingushetia, Murad Daskiev, co-chairman of the Council of Teips, was charged with an administrative case after the organization posted an appeal calling for a boycott of the nationwide vote on amendments to the Constitution. This is reported by the "Caucasian Knot".

“[The prosecutor’s office] found fault with the fact that the activities of the Council of Teips of the Republic of Ingushetia are identical to the activities carried out by the organization Council of Teips of the Ingush people, whose work was suspended by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation for Ingushetia in 2019,” Daskiev explained the reason for initiating the case.

Presumably, the co-chairman is charged with an article on non-fulfillment of the order of the Ministry of Justice (part 1 of article 19.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), according to which the Council of Teips of the Ingush People was already fined in early March.

Daskiev himself, in a conversation with the prosecutor, noted that the same case could be brought against the FSB: “They work in a building on Lubyanka, where at different times there were such organizations as the All-Russian Extraordinary Commission (VChK), the OGPU, the NKVD, the KGB. And they all carried out identical activities with some deviations.

The case against the co-chairman has already been referred to the justice of the peace.

• On March 10, Vladimir Putin supported an amendment by deputy Valentina Tereshkova, who proposed giving the president the opportunity to run for two new terms after the adoption of amendments to the Constitution. The draft law on March 11 in the third reading was adopted by the State Duma, and also approved by the Federation Council. Already on March 12, the amendments were approved by the regional parliaments, and on March 14, Putin signed the law on amendments. A few hours after that, despite the holiday, the Constitutional Court began to review the law on amendments for compliance with the Constitution.

• The movement "Council of teips of the Ingush people" was created and registered in the fall of 2016. After mass protests in the spring of 2019 with a demand to recognize the agreement on the borders of Ingushetia and Chechnya as illegal, the leader of the Council of Teips, Malsag Uzhakov, was detained on charges of organizing dangerous violence against government officials (part 3 of article 33, part 2 of article 318 UK). In June 2019, Uzhakhov was also charged under Part 2 of Article 239 of the Criminal Code (creation of a non-profit organization whose activities are associated with inciting citizens to refuse to perform civic duties or to commit other illegal acts, as well as leading such an organization) for the movement “Council of Ingush teips people."
