The Tverskoy District Court fined artist Katrin Nenasheva 15,000 rubles for an action against facial recognition cameras. This was reported to OVD-Info by lawyer Dmitry Zakhvatov, who represents the interests of the activist.
Nenasheva was found guilty under the article on violation of the rules for holding a public event (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
Nenasheva was detained along with Semyon Morozov, Stepan Gnezdilov and Marina Bezenkova on February 9 near the Presidential Administration building. Then the activists in the framework of the “Follow” action applied makeup to their faces, protesting against cameras with a face recognition system.
