Edward Limonov died

At the age of 78, a politician and writer Eduard Limonov died in Moscow, State Duma deputy Sergei Shargunov said on his Facebook page. "Moscow Komsomolets" writes that for a long time Limonov fought on an oncological disease.

In the 1970s, Eduard Limonov participated in the dissident movement. In 1974, he emigrated to the USA, where one of his most famous books was published in 1976-“This is me, Oedka.” The 1980s spent Limonov in France, where he received citizenship. In the early 1990s he returned to Russia and began a political career.

In 1993, Limonov founded his National Bolshevik Party (NBP). After her activities were banned, former NBP members created the other Russia party.

A few days before his death, Limonov said that he had concluded an agreement with the publishing house for the release of a new book called "The Old Man travels."

In an interview with Yuri Dudu in 2018, Limonov said: "The day when I die will be national mourning."
