On March 21, Russian health officials announced that they recorded 53 new cases of coronavirus in the previous 24 hours, bringing the country's number of confirmed COVID-19 infections to 306.
The cases are spread across 18 different regions of the country, though almost half of new cases (24) were reported in Moscow and the Moscow region.
- Russian officials say 16 patients have already fully recovered from the illness.
- A day earlier, on March 20, Russia recorded 54 new cases of coronavirus. In total, at least a dozen individuals in Russia have been released following treatment for COVID-19.
