Placido Domingo tested positive for coronavirus

Spanish opera singer Placido Domingo has announced that he has contracted a new coronavirus infection.

“My family and I are in self-isolation. We are all in good health, only I have symptoms of fever and cough,” the tenor wrote on his Facebook. “I ask everyone to be extremely careful, follow the basic rules, wash your hands often, keep your distance from others, do everything possible to stop the spread of the virus, and above all, stay at home if you can!”

In Spain, according to Johns Hopkins University, 28.6 thousand cases of infection with COVID-19 were registered. More than 1.7 thousand people have died. 2.5 thousand people have recovered.
