The first personal plots were flooded in the Irkutsk region. In 2019, the flood took dozens of lives.

Water entered the household plots in the Irkutsk region of the Angara region. It is reported by TASS on March 22.

“Yesterday [March 21], five calls from [the village] Granovshchina for the supply of flooding were received, water went to the sites, today there were two more calls from there. The administration of the Urikovsky municipal formation carried out batteries, drainage canals were made, pumping water and silt was pumped using the pump. The work is ongoing, monitoring is underway, ”the administration said, without specifying the number of victims.

Granovshchina is 20 km from Irkutsk. About 5 thousand people live in it.

Two streets and the road have already been flooded, said to Vesti Irkutsk. Residents themselves import gravel and build dams.

In the summer of 2019, the Irkutsk region survived two waves of crushing flood. Thousands of people were left without housing, Tulun and Nizhneudinsk were especially destroyed. 25 people died and more than 700 were injured.
