Moscow state employees are forced to vote for amendments

Employees of the Moscow Department of Capital Repair are obliged to register on the city portal Mos.ru for voting on editors to the Constitution, MBH Media reports with reference to the chairman of the Interregional Public Transport Workers Yuri Dashkov.

According to Dashkov, the deputy head of the overhaul department calls all the employees and is interested in whether they have an account on mos.ru, and also asks each of them to register three more people.

One of the employees of the department named Sergey, who asked not to voice his last name, told MBH Media that such "calls" are held in many state institutions. He suggested that those who are not registered on the Mos.ru portal for electronic voting will be deprived of bonuses. The employee made this assumption "based on the experience of past years."

All -Russian vote on amendments to the Constitution was planned for April 22. In connection with the pandemia of coronavirus and possible quarantine measures, it can be postponed or carried out in the form of a subdominal vote.

• On March 14, Vladimir Putin signed the law on amendments to the Russian Constitution, which he himself proposed to change two months earlier. Amendments significantly expand the powers of the president, establish the priority of the Russian Constitution over international law, establish mainly the country's status and the role of the State Council revived by Putin, and also “reset” the previous presidential terms of Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Medvedev.
• At the same time, Putin promised that without approval on a popular vote, the amendments would not enter into force. In the event of their adoption, the current head of state will be able to participate in two more elections, and in case of victory on them - to remain president until 2036.
