The parliamentary hearings scheduled for March 25 and the City Duma session on March 26 will be held in a limited mode. The order about it was signed by the speaker of a thought Dmitry Ruzhnikov, his press service reported.
“Both meetings can be attended by no more than 50 people at the same time, including the employees of the Duma and the administration who make presentations,” the press service said. At the same time, there are only 35 deputies in the City Duma.
An online broadcast is planned both on the website of the City Duma and on Facebook, deputy Alexander Kvasov.
The Duma explained the decision by the threat of an emergency situation associated with the spread of a new coronavirus, and referred to its own regulations and the decree of Acting Governor Igor Kobzev on the introduction of a high alert regime in the region.
At the same time, Kobzev's decree made recommendations to regional ministries to limit the number of participants to 50 only for those events organized by subordinate institutions. The City Duma is an independent representative body of local self-government.
The agenda of the session has not been published on the website of the City Duma. The press service did not respond to calls from Taiga.info at the time of publication. Probably, the meeting will discuss the proposal for the resignation of speaker Dmitry Ruzhnikov.
On March 16, a group of 12 City Duma deputies, including United Russia members, who were considered close to the team of ex-mayor Dmitry Berdnikov, demanded that Ruzhnikov be dismissed. The Credentials Committee closed the meeting from the media and by a majority of votes recommended supporting the decision. But many deputies learned about the document only on the day of its introduction, as a result, at the session on March 17, it was possible to postpone it due to procedural violations.
