Yakov Savchenko
A graduate of the Novosibirsk Medical University Yakov Savchenko discusses the indecision of the regional authorities in solving the problems associated with the coronavirus epidemic, and compares Russia with the island, claiming that its inhabitants do not want to know anything further than the boundaries of their own territory.
For those who have not yet heard: the chief infectious disease specialist of the Stavropol Territory Irina Sannikova was hospitalized in intensive care with confirmed coronavirus pneumonia, and then dismissed in absentia.
Before that, she secretly managed to drive to Spain, hid the fact of the trip from the authorities and, unable to withstand quarantine at 14 days, managed to do quite a lot. She gave lectures to students (it is known that on the course of 300 people, she did not check, but I give my head to the cut off that everyone was without masks, and a sanitary at that time was not held at that time), participated in scientific conferences, communicated with colleagues-doctors. The number of people who managed to infect the chief infectious disease specialist of the Stavropol is currently being specified. You can find her speech on TV, where she calls for social responsibility and emphasizes the need to "observe respiratory etiquette."
Here you have a complete portrait of the main infectious disease specialist of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation, where scientists get along well with mannerism, impressions, irresponsibility and plying. This is what they are talking about now in the south of Russia, for which the Stavropol governor is being apologized to the left and right. I think that in the near future we have to hear many similar examples of irresponsibility. The Sannikova’s performance itself in the program “Epidemia on Schedule” (very suitable name) is also characteristic. Speaking on television, the professor explained the preventive measures recommended today in order not to become infected with coronavirus. But at the same time, of course, it was said that all this, God forbid, not for the sake of coronavirus, but ordinary measures, so as not to become infected with seasonal flu.
It is these facts that make us doubt the professionalism of the personnel of Russian managers (especially in the medical field).
That is why, I think (and wrote about this back in January) is extremely important to introduce quarantine in all educational institutions. Caranty would be introduced at least in February - it would be impossible to infect so many people so quickly, even having the potential of Professor Sannikova.
A month ago, our universities and schools could smoothly switch to distance learning, without groans about unpreparedness and complexity. But we do not want to call a spade a spade. Therefore, instead of a terribly unpleasant and demoralizing word “quarantine”, instead of a clear and direct order, we come up with elegant euphemisms-substitutes: “free visits to schools, at the discretion of parents”, “early care for the holidays”. And we also say that “we recommend” (!), And we do not require “transition to distance learning” from universities.
From the point of view of epidemiology, such recommendations look ridiculous. As one of my familiar colonel remarked, it looks like if the regiment commander began to shout during the fighting: “Whoever wants - to the attack, who wants to - stay in the trenches!”
Since January 25, in all available ways, I am trying to convey to all one simple thought: coronavirus is an unprecedented threat to the population of our country, which requires an immediate adoption of a number of radical anti -epidemiological measures.
The situation began to shift from the dead point only on March 16, when a message appeared that an operastan for coronavirus was created in Novosibirsk.
This was facilitated by external events. Who would believe a month ago that the borders of many countries will be closed, troops will be introduced to Paris, New York, that in Israel people will be banned from going out on the streets that several hundred people a day will die in Italy ...
Yes, everything has changed, except for two things. Firstly, as before, obviously, custom-made and frankly false publications are encouraged, although, probably, frivolity and underestimation take place. I am still curious what eyes some experts, professors, candidates of medical biological and different sciences will look through in two to three weeks? It is beautiful that modern gadgets allow you to clearly fix who, what and when said. Please remember these names, and these publications with their articles last week, where it is mixed with statements that coronavirus is no more dangerous than the flu, people are advised to spend as much time as possible on the street.
Secondly, our society demonstrates the miracles of island psychology. The psychology of islanders who do not want to know what is happening outside the native island. What a brilliant field of activity for those who are engaged in social psychology, what wonderful work can be written on this material! What is this? "Russian Avos" or a consequence of soothing propaganda? We will provide to understand this to specialists in the future. I simply emphasize that along with irresponsibility, myopia and helplessness of power, this is today the main problem.
This is about this, unexpectedly for the Kremlin, that Oleg Deripaska made a statement, which today is the only one of the highest Russian Establischment publicly demonstrates a responsible and truly state approach. Without sinking into the corner, not afraid that they will take away the business, he claims that the inertia of the authorities leads to the consequences even more tragic than the collapse of the USSR in 1991. This is respect. We must remember his civil position.
Look at crowded shopping centers and cinemas. Reasonable arguments and information about the life of other countries do not affect our fellow citizens. No one wants to bother anyone, but since it is not about property or well -being, but about people's lives, I will make another attempt. I will try to prove the obvious again, but already by the Euclidean method - from the contrary.
So, I agree with you. We are all smart to one, and all foreigners are idiots. Without exception. Look at the world map. Everything is that not Russia are a fools of fools. All, absolutely everything except citizens of Russia, succumbed to a causeless panic, do not die from coronavirus, but they cut off with fear. Koronavirus, if he is generally in the world, affects only the Chinese, Koreans, Japanese, Italians, French, Germans, Ukrainians and so on. Having reached the borders of the Russian Federation, he will hear a clear team of our border guards: “To the left, around!” Surrender and will be removed. He bite, will do this, realizing that we have the most reliable medicine in the world, we have the best specialists in the world, we have the largest number of IVL devices per capita and we still have Arbidol.
If you agree with the last passage, then I probably wash my hands. You can not read further.
Two words addressed to the local Novosibirsk authorities, which, like the entire local government in the country, had been completely uninitiated for two months to have an instructions from above. Dear comrades! Walking far in the wake of federal instructions, and without them I would be afraid, some would have lost their heads, afraid to take the slightest step on the way of events, you buried your head in the sand. I will gladly admit that federal instructions are thought out, and in many cases they are very good, but they are too late and do not take into account local features. But your traditional style of communication with those who offer help is too pompous and arrogant. Tell me, you are not tired of repeating, as if managed: “Everything is fine with us, the headquarters works, everything is under control, do not climb, do not interfere, without snotty slippery!”
Is it really not clear that, saying today, that there are no difficulties, you only dig a hole for yourself, because in a month you are poked with your nose and ask: “Why wasn’t this and this one?” I will not repeat that extensive list of events that should be performed, which I have already written about many times, you still do not read. But try to act ahead of the events in some way. For example, deal with the patronage service of the Ministry of Social Supervision, which under the new leadership (thanks to Comrade Gorodetsky) is unlikely to cope with the task of providing pensioners and disabled products when they cannot leave the house. Or at least include in your instructions a point on the gluing by the forces of the inhabitants of the ventilation in apartments, give recommendations for the processing of door handles and buttons in elevators.
Hard times are waiting for us. Loss of work, business, income may turn out to be inherent nonsense compared to the possible loss of loved ones and acquaintances. “Blessed, who visited this world in its minutes is fatal,” Tyutchev said. But the price of such visits is too high. The only positive thing that comes to mind is that in our country, where open and veiled meanness is multiplied, we will soon know who is worth what.
