The lawyer of the Ingush activist Zarifa Sautiyeva said that the materials of the case against his client contain records of interrogations of five secret witnesses, whose testimony does not coincide with the version of the investigation. This is reported by "Caucasian Knot".
On March 25, the Stavropol Regional Court dismissed an appeal against the arrest of Sautiyeva, accused of organizing the use of violence at a rally in Magas on March 26-27, 2019. The complaint filed by the defense states that the investigation presented the testimony of secret witnesses, which do not substantiate Sautiyeva's involvement in the crime. One of the witnesses admitted that he had not seen Sautiyeva at the rally in Magas.
Also at the meeting, Sautiyeva said that she was afraid of contracting the coronavirus in the pre-trial detention center. “She behaved well, she feels fine, but she expressed concern that if the coronavirus enters the pre-trial detention center, then there are no means of combating it,” her lawyer conveys the words of Sautiyeva.
Earlier, the Essentuki City Court extended Sautiyeva's arrest until June 11.
