HSE experts called the most vulnerable to the weakening of the ruble of the industry

HSE economists considered that the weakening of the ruble will lead to losses of the manufacturing industry of Russia, which are seriously dependent on imported raw materials and equipment. According to their calculations , when falling a course of up to 80 rubles per dollar, 60% of such industries or 14-15% of the types of manufacturing as a whole are unprofitable.

Economists calculated for each type of processing industry a currency course, which ensures crazy (zero profitability of products).

• It turned out that the lowest course needs automotive and agricultural engineering. The calculated breakstream rate for them is 53–57 rubles per dollar, that is, even with a slight increase in this level, profitability of products becomes negative.
• Among the most vulnerable industries are the production of household appliances, plastic products, textile industry, and in the food - the production of sausages, tea and coffee, ready -made animal feed.
• Less vulnerable to the fish conservation and pharmaceutical industry. In addition to them, all import -dependent industries of the manufacturing industry go to losses at the calculated dollar rate of 100 rubles.

According to Elena Balashova, senior researcher at the Higher School of Development, will help to increase the ruble to the extension of import substitution and the level of localization.
