The first meeting in the second cassation court of general jurisdiction ended with a transfer to a later date - the judge repeatedly asked the fugitive if he did not believe that his rights were violated by the fact that they notified the appointment of a meeting 5 days before him, and not 14, as the law demands. The fugitive and his lawyers confidently replied that they were ready for consideration now, but, after listening to the opinion of the prosecutor who advocated for the transfer, the judge postponed the consideration of the complaint for the sentence for almost two weeks. And during this time the situation with coronavirus worsened in the country, and the Supreme Court decided to consider only cases of an urgent nature. Without listeners and journalists.

And on March 27, the court took place: only participants in the process were allowed into the court building. The type of punishment was changed: Danil was transferred from the colony of general regime into a colony-settlement. As the new ”lawyer of the Agora Leonid Soloviev told, the colony-settlement is a lightweight version of the correctional institution, where at least much longer dates are allowed:“ Roughly speaking, this is a closed sanatorium.

If the convicted person has positive characteristics and if he distinguished himself with good behavior, then as an encouragement he is allowed to visit his house for some time. ”

According to Solovyov, the Cassation Court thus confirmed that the fugitive’s colony was placed illegally in the colony of general regime. And the decision to change the type of punishment was made on the basis of positive characteristics from IK-2 in the village of Ponazyrevo, where Danil is serving a sentence. In addition, he pleaded guilty and transferred 15 thousand rubles to the victim police officer as compensation for non -pecuniary damage.

Recall that on July 27, on the day of an unauthorized action for the admission of independent candidates for elections to the Moscow City Duma, Dann went to a business meeting in a coffee shop in Bolshaya Dmitrovka, but because of the blocked street he could not get there and decided to return to the car.
