The former head of the Moscow City Election Commission, Valentin Gorbunov, has died. He resigned two weeks ago

The former head of the Moscow City Electoral Committee, Valentin Gorbunov, has died. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced this on his Twitter.

Gorbunov was 66 years old.

• Gorbunov has worked at the Moscow City Electoral Committee since 1993, and became chairman of the commission in 1995. He left the post on March 17, 2020; it was reported that this happened for health reasons.
