There are also reports that people who do not have masks are pulled out of cars and beat with these pipes. I must say that in Chechnya, as throughout the country, masks are absent on sale. The local leadership could not ensure their supply either to pharmacies or in sufficient quantities even to hospitals, despite the fact that the headquarters to counteract the coronaviral infection has been operating in Chechnya since February 6.

Now residents of the republic and doctors are invited to sew a gauze masks. Officials in all seriousness convince people that homemade masks are even better made of non -punctured materials and urge everyone to clear their sewing machines. Back in mid -March, the Chechen authorities and local media denied the threat of pandemia, called the information stream about the spread of coronavirus - “panic”, compared it with ordinary flu and called for treated with lemon and honey.

All March, Chechen officials actively attracted tourists to the Republic, conducted collective multi -thousandth subbotniks, to which residents were forcibly and actively participated in religious and solemn mass events, not one of which was canceled for all these and a half “active struggle against coronavirus”.
