Less than two weeks - March 17 - Valentin Gorbunov resigned for health reasons. He headed the election commission in Moscow since 1995. Under his control in the city, scandalous elections to the Moscow City Duma of 2009 were held controversial elections of the mayor of the city of 2003 and 1999, which caused mass protests of the State Duma elections in 2011 and to the Moscow City Duma in 2019.
“It is unfortunate that Gorbunov did not live to the court,” commented on the death of the former head of the Moscow City War Important, oppositionist Alexei Navalny, who himself participated in the elections of the Moscow Mayor in 2013.
It is unfortunate that Gorbunov did not live to the court. Few, in the new history of the country, made such a contribution to the transformation of Russia into a backward country of the third world. Gorbunov forged Moscow elections for 30 years in a row. He stole on his house in Croatia, but could not take him to the grave. https://t.co/zbdnu0v2ha
