Vologda: a protocol for a fake about coronavirus was drawn up for a resident

At a 19-year-old resident of Vologda, they drew up a protocol on abuse of freedom of the media after she placed in the telegram channel data on coronavirus infection of 200 people in the region. This was reported by the Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Vologda Oblast.

The girl laid out an audio recording in her telegram channel, in which there was a phrase: "Two hundred people in question or not. Two hundred people fell ill. This is in Cherepovets. 12 people in Vologda infected."

The police checked this information and did not confirm it. A resident of Vologda told the employees that she placed not verified data without malicious intent and "did not think about the consequences of placement." She may face a fine of 30 to 100 thousand rubles. The recording is deleted.

The State Duma on March 31 adopted amendments to criminal punishment for citizens for the public extension of fakes. New measures provide for imprisonment for up to five years.
