Putin extended "coronavirus holidays" until the end of April

Russian President Vladimir Putin extended the self -isolation regime until the end of April, he reported this in an appeal to the nation, which broadcast the Russia 24 television channel.

Putin said that regional authorities will independently be able to make decisions about which regime should be introduced in the region. Local authorities themselves will also determine the list of enterprises that must stop working.

At the end of the appeal, Putin said that the period of self -isolation regime could be reduced, "if the situation allows."

Putin for the first time turned to the Russians about the coronavirus infection on March 25. Then he said that the vote on amendments to the Constitution was transferred, and the residents of the country asked to "sit at home" while saving wages.
