The head of the Vologda Metropolis Ignatius will make a procession around Vologda with miraculous icons to get rid of coronavirus on April 3, according to the website of the diocese.

During the detour, the clergy will hold the icons of the Savior of the All -Merciful and the Mother of God "Semi -Street", the relics of the Vologda Anthony, Markella, Ignatius and other shrines. The detour will begin at 16:00 from the Voskresensky Cathedral and end there in an hour. In the cathedral, Metropolitan Ignatius will make the morning of the holiday of praise of the Blessed Virgin Mary with the singing of the akathist the Virgin. On the same day, bypasses will take place in Cherepovets, Veliky Ustyug and other settlements of the Vologda region.

According to legend, then there was a plague in the city, people packed this icon and the disease retreated.
