Alcohol sale was banned in Transbaikalia

The Governor of the Trans-Baikal Territory introduced a ban on the sale of alcohol due to the introduction of the “self-isolation” regime in the region. The authorities explained this by the fact that "the number of offenses committed on the basis of alcohol has worsened."

Retail sale of alcohol is prohibited in Transbaikalia "before a special order." The relevant changes were made to the resolution of the governor Alexander Osipov, the press service of the regional government said.

“Due to the regime of self-isolation, the number of offenses committed on the basis of alcohol has aggravated. The Trans -Baikal Territory has the sad experience of the New Year holidays, when in 10 days we lost more than 120 people, most of the criminal deaths. The decision to suspend the sale of alcohol products is temporary, ”said Andrei Gurulev, deputy chairman of the Government of the Trans -Baikal Territory.

Osipov also decided to “recommend” the arrivals from other regions by self -invalid for two weeks, the governor’s decree said.

Previously, the sale of alcohol was banned in Tuva. The time of purchase of alcohol was limited in Khakassia (from 10:00 to 15:00) and the Krasnoyarsk Territory (from 10:00 to 18:00).
