Karelia: Patients of the drug dispensary were evicted for the sake of opening a hospital for infected with coronavirus

Patients of the narcological dispensary in Petrozavodsk were discharged and sent around the house to free the premises for a reserve hospital for infected with coronavirus, "Petrozavodsk says ".

One of the patients of the dispensary told the publication that on the night of April 2, rehabilitation was evicted from the department in Sulazhgore (Petrozavodsk district) and transported to a psychiatric hospital in the settlement of sailors (located 35 kilometers from the city). There they stayed at night, then the patients were again taken to Petrozvodsk and landed near the shopping center.

“That's all. We went on to all four sides, who was where,” the patient said. According to him, he had nowhere to go, his sister lives in Finland. As a result, he spent the night with his sister's friend. Its rehabilitation was to last another two months.

In the Ministry of Health of Karelia, the publication confirmed that the premises in Sulazhgor were being converted to a reserve hospital in case of a large influx of patients with coronavirus.

“Those who are cured and who do not need emergency or urgent help went home. Those who should be in the hospital were transferred to psychiatric hospitals in sailors. Each of those who have been discharged was held. Everyone found out where he will go and how he will get home. No one was abandoned,” the department said.

The representative of the Ministry of Health explained that the decision to release the premises was made urgently, since the second test for coronavirus spent by one of the patients (we are talking about the deputy Oleg Dotsenko) gave a positive result. Because of this, I had to send the doctors who worked with him (21 people). At the same time, it was necessary to hospitalize several patients with pneumonia: they could not be put with other patients, since there is a risk that pneumonia could be caused by coronaviral infection. “There was no other way out,” the Ministry of Health noted.

In Karelia, on April 4, Coronavirus was conditionally confirmed by a clear person (preliminary tests). The observators have 13 people.
