In the Pokrovskoye Hospital of St. Petersburg, medical staff complains about the lack of protective equipment when working with pneumonia patients. The problem can turn into a catastrophe for staff, as the hospital began to take patients with coronavirus. One of the employees told the North. Real website that she had to quit after refusing to treat the room where the patient was suspected of Covid-19.

Ten employees of the Pokrovsky hospital said that the medical institution began to take patients with pneumonia, including coronavirus. But the hospital staff risks the COVID-19 to become infected due to the fact that the institution does not have enough elementary protective equipment: disposable gloves, masks and disinfectants. According to them, there is no necessary drugs for the treatment of viral pneumonia, and the necessary oxygen simply has not been carried out. The leadership of the hospital refused the employees to help, and those who will complain promised problems.

- We do not refuse to work. We love our patients and want everyone to have recovery. But it is not possible to work in such unprotected conditions. No one is safe from infection. And the status of the medic does not protect, ”they said.

Not only employees of the Intercession Hospital complain about the lack of protective equipment. The union "Alliance of the Doctors" of the North. Reali correspondent said that for March they received seven complaints from hospitals.

Natalya Grechnevikova refused to work during the Pandemia of Coronavirus without the necessary means of protection. For the past five years, she has been working in the Pokrovskoye Hospital in the position of medicalurizing: she treated the premises of the medical institution and underwear of patients from infections. On April 1, Grechnevikova wrote a statement for dismissal after she refused to go "to the center of infection" - to the room where the patient was suspected of coronavirus pneumonia. According to her, she learned from the medical staff that in the evening of March 31, a man with pneumonia was brought to the hospital, who had two cudrus tests negative, and the third that came to the hospital turned out to be positive.

- We were told that a person arrived with a positive test for coronavirus, we must go and process the room after it. I did not go through any training lessons: how to act in such a situation when to remove this costume, how to process it, in what proportion. I don't know a clear algorithm of action! - says the buckwheat. - I'm not a soldier, I'm not a doctor. I'm just a disinfector. I am a civilian person. I have the right to refuse, especially since my leadership knew that I feel bad. After that, I was told: then you better write a statement about leaving so that there is no record for failure to comply with official duties, because it is responsible - to walk and process.

Grechnevikova confirmed the words of colleagues who speak of a lack of elementary protection tools. According to her, about three weeks ago in the hospital the entire medical staff was obliged to sew gauze bandages, "so that there was at least something."

- They ordered everyone to sew: both doctors and everyone else. For the refusal to sew ropes for these masks, they took off the half -time, arguing that I do not fulfill my official duties. At that time, one device was broken at that time, and it turns out that I did not fully fulfill my official duties.

Another employee of the Intercession Hospital, Maria Solovyova , told the north. Realities that the medical staff is faced with a lack of disposable gloves, masks and disinfectants for several years.

The head physician of the Intercession Hospital, Marina Bakholdina, replied to the claims of subordinates that "this is not true." It was not possible to talk personally with Baholdina North. Realia: the reception of the hospital reported that the head physician was not there. The healthcare committee refuted the reports of the Pokrovskoye Hospital, saying that patients did not enter the Pokrovsky hospital with suspicion of coronavirus or a confirmed diagnosis. Officials commented on the lack of disposable gloves and masks. They said that there are problems with the supply of protective equipment in St. Petersburg hospitals, "as in the whole world."

Protection funds are not enough in many medical institutions in Russia. In the Rostov region, the entire personnel of the infectious diseases department of the Kamenskaya CGB wrote a letter of resignation. Doctors noted that they will not work without protection, they do not even have masks. In addition, Kamensky doctors demanded to increase the surcharges for night duty and work with especially dangerous infections. For the exit to the night shift, they are now paying about 70 rubles.

The situation in other regions develops in a similar way: in Pskov and the Novgorod region, doctors lack protective masks, and hospital boxes are already crowded in Kaliningrad.
