At the Hakaton, Memory Hack found a decision on how to celebrate Victory Day in the conditions of isolation, and optimized the project "Memory Road"

On the online forum of IT specialists, which took place on April 4 and 5 and was dedicated to the memory of veterans of the Great Patriotic War, the decisions of young programmers allowed to find the opportunity to celebrate Victory Day in the conditions of quarantine (if it is extended after April 30).

The purpose of the current 36 -hour hackathon called Memory Hack was to solve a special problem - programmers, designers, computer program developers optimized the unique project “Memory Road”, designed to collect information about everyone who defended their homeland during the Great Patriotic War and forged victory in the rear.

The project "Road of Memory", launched by the Russian Defense Ministry for the 75th anniversary of the anniversary of the signing by fascist Germany, the act on unconditional surrender, involves the discovery near the main temple of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the Moscow region of the multimedia museum, which will collect tens of millions of photographs of the participants in the Great Patriotic War and the workers of the defense enterprises.

Hakaton, which was organized by the Phystech Business Incubator. Genesis, the Russian national team of Russian Hackan Hack Team and with the support of Promsvyazbank, was aimed at solving two main problems related to the project: it was necessary to make the very procedure for filling out the form as convenient and attractive as possible and attract as many people as possible to the project.

Due to the general self-isolation in connection with the pandemia of the coronavirus in Hakaton, a huge number of young IT specialists from all over Russia took part-the number of people who wanted to about five times exceeded the expectations of the organizers, so a competitive selection was carried out, according to which 113 people were allowed to Hakaton.

As a result, out of 34 teams participating in Hakaton, 20 were reached the final. On the final pitching, data collection decisions were evaluated from the point of view of performance, technical implementation and ease of integration of the program. The best decisions based on the results of the competition were: personal postcards with a photo of a veteran, recognition and animation of persons in the photo, construction of ties on social networks, recognition of orders and medals with photographs, imposition of a combat path of veterans on cards and much more. All this will be transmitted by the "Road of Memory" as voluntary assistance to the development of the project.

The first place was received by the RHT.AI team for the "Create a Memory Postcard" service, with the help of which users, having uploaded photos, can get not only a beautiful postcard, but also immediately find out the hero’s detailed military path, see the warhead in which the veteran participated.

The second place is Chain ++. Its participants developed an algorithm that highlights front -line soldiers from group photos and through search engines and databases finds those depicted in the photograph - displays information about colleagues, company, front -line soldier, awards and combat paths. With the help of such a solution, by uploading a common photo to the base, you can find out in detail about everyone who was captured on it.

The third place went to the IBI Solutions team for an automatic filter based on a neural network to recognize images of Inception V3, which will help to simplify and accelerate the moderation of the photo on the website of the Memory Road. Since the main problem that slows down the site is manual moderation, they came up with a universal solution with a flexible modular architecture, which can be applicable to a variety of search engines.

The Tramp team decided not only in finding information about the ancestors, but also in the search for relatives. The same photograph on the portal "Road of Memory" can be uploaded by different people who do not know about each other's existence. Thanks to the developed service, these people can learn about each other.

Startblock programmers combined users of the VKontakte social network if their relatives fought together. The loaded photograph of a relative is attached to his combat history and the search for colleagues begins, and then the system gives which users of the social network uploaded the images.

The 42/2 team offered an online service that will help people share emotions on the occasion of Victory Day. The program will select the design of photography and music, and then publish an animated story in social networks.

There were many developments offering to turn a black and white photo into color, make a beautiful design and even revive the image.

Photos and information about the heroes of the Great Patriotic War are available on the Internet on the website of the project doroga.mil.ru . To participate in the project, it is enough for any person to provide at least minimal information about his heroic relative: surname, name and middle name, year or exact date of birth, upload a photo. The information will automatically be associated with the archival materials available to the Ministry of Defense, and thus you can find out something new about your relative and create a family archive.
