On the evening of April 4, he wrote: “He was able to observe the inhabitants of Kyiv and the surrounding cities now associated with a forest fire in the alienation zone. About 20 hectares of forests near the village of Vladimirovka are burning. The State Emergencies Ministry is already engaged in liquidation. Specialists from the state eco -inspector work on the spot, fix the level of radiation pollution. Now there is no need to worry, everything is normal. ”
On April 5, Firsov said: “... the situation is difficult ... in general, more than 100 hectares are burning. As often happens now, someone set fire to the grass, and the fire was transferred to the trees. There is bad news - in the center of the fire, radiation is above the norm. As you can see on the video, the indicators of the device (dosimeter, O. M. ) are 2.3 (microsivert per hour - O. M. ) with a norm of 0.14. But such a situation is only in the focus of the fire. ”
On the same day, the State Agency for Management of the Excruption Zone informed that the radiation situation in the territory where the fire occurred did not exceed the norm: “... in the operational mode, data regarding the power of the equivalent dose of gamma radiation in the fire area were analyzed. The radiation background ... is controlled using an automated system of monitoring the radiation situation (ASCRS) in continuous mode at 39 points. Near the fire there are 3 paragraphs of the ASCRS .... The control levels of power of the equivalent dose are not exceeded. The radiation situation is under control ... as of 7.00 on April 5, open fire (this is only about the stroke! - O. M. ), there are flowering of individual sections. Specialists of the State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Security conducted radiation monitoring of the situation. According to the results of measurements, technological radionuclides on the ground were not detected. Thus, in accordance with the measurements on the terrain, the dose power of the gamma radiation was in the range of up to 0.1 μZv per hour, which meets the normal radiation background. According to the GNTC Yarb, as of April 5, on April 5, the fire in the alienation zone and the obligatory (unconditional) resettlement did not affect the radiation situation in Kyiv and the suburbs. ”
