The defendant in the “Moscow case” Eduard Malyshevsky disappeared from the Kursk pre-trial detention center

The person involved in the "Moscow case" Eduard Malyshevsky disappeared from pre-trial detention center No. 1 of the Kursk region, according to politician Dmitry Gudkov.

Letters sent to the pre-trial detention center for Malyshevsky receive an answer: “they cannot be received: the addressee has departed.” According to the prison censorship, he “departed” on April 2, writes Gudkov. Relatives are asked to wait for a response to a written request. Avdokat Alexander Aldaev is also not provided with information in the Tverskoy court.

Gudkov suggests that because of the hunger strike, Malyshevsky could end up in the hospital or he could be sent to a colony to serve his sentence.

• At the end of February, Malyshevsky went on a hunger strike: he demanded a review of all sentences in the "Moscow case", as well as the inclusion of articles of the defendants in the case in the amnesty project.
• On December 9, 2019, the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow found Eduard Malyshevsky guilty under the article on the use of violence against a policeman (part 1 of article 318 of the Criminal Code) and sentenced him to three years in a penal colony. According to the prosecution, on July 27, 2019, while in a paddy wagon on Tverskaya Street, he squeezed out a glass that fell on a policeman. On January 29, the Moscow City Court commuted his sentence by three months.
• On July 27, protests were held in Moscow in support of independent candidates in the elections to the Moscow City Duma, during which, according to OVD-Info, were detained 1,373 people . Three days after the action, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case. Several people have already been sentenced to real terms on charges of using violence against the police and the National Guard.
