Developers reported a sharp increase in building materials due to pandemia and the fall of the ruble

The coronavirus epidemic, as well as the weakening of the ruble, led to an increase in prices for some building materials to 25% and an increase in the terms of their supply. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to representatives of large Russian developers.

According to the vice president of the Ingrad Group of Companies Grigory Zvenigorodsky, since the beginning of April there has been an increase in prices for materials for draft and finishing by an average of 5-10%. "The main reason for price growth is called a change in the exchange rate difference between the ruble to the dollar, despite the fact that the last increase in prices for these goods was recorded a year ago," Zvenigorodsky explains.

The company "Glavstroy" reported an increase in prices by 6-25% for aerated concrete blocks, engineering equipment, bricks and electrical products. In turn
The director of the A101 Group of Companies, Georgy Krinitsyn, noted that a number of enterprises manufacturing building materials suspended production due to the coronavirus epidemic. Krinitsyn noted that due to the indefinite situation with the spread of coronavirus, developers purchase materials for the future, which creates a stir in the market and, combined with negative trends in the economy, leads to an increase in prices by 5-10%. "According to Krinitsyn, stocks of building materials in Russian warehouses should be enough before May.

Developers fix and increase the timing of the supply of materials. For example, in Ingrada collided with delays for up to 10 days, in Glavstroy - up to two weeks.
"Indeed, the market has encountered interruptions in the supply of building materials. This is due to the fact that manufacturers of data from building materials were forced to pause," said Stanislav Arkhipov, head of the Donislav Arkhipov Project Development Department.

As for imported materials, then, according to Krinitsyn, the main risks are now associated with the supply of materials, the analogues of which are practically there is practically no in Russia. Among other things, we are talking about cast -iron pipes of certain diameters and shaped elements to them, shut -off valves, equipment for boiler rooms, electronics for automation systems, sockets and switching, as well as some finishing materials. Some manufacturers of these materials in Europe and China stopped work due to the epidemic, and in Russia, for the same reason, customs procedures were complicated. In addition, many companies transferred to the full prepayment, but at the same time they cannot guarantee the delivery time.

According to Stanislav Kiselev, General Director of Cortroes, developers are already experiencing a point of point in the supply of elevator equipment from Europe and facade materials from China.

Import materials, which are so far available to developers, have risen in price, like domestic ones. According to Sminex, due to fluctuations in the euro exchange, imported positions have risen in price by an average of 15-20%. At the same time, European manufacturers did not form an updated price list. "Due to the current situation with coronavirus and closing borders, they bear additional costs for transporting equipment and materials. According to information coming from our suppliers, the cost of delivery of goods has doubled," Sminex said.
