Deputy Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin Anastasia Rakova said that the number of patients with coronavirus doubled in a week. Of these, more than 85% are sick with pneumonia, the hospitals and ambulance service work at the limit, she stated.

In total, more than 6.5 thousand patients with coronavirus are treated in Moscow hospitals. According to experts, the peak of incidence is not reached, the number of sick and hospitalized will grow.

Today in Moscow 1124 new cases of disease have been identified. This is the first day when more than 1000 infected were detected in the capital - on April 9 there were 857.
The mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, warned that the peak of incidence of coronavirus in the capital is ahead. According to him, it will only be possible to stop the epidemic at best by summer.
According to Sobyanin, Moscow goes back to the “two-three-four weeks” to the world thanks to the measures taken. In the fight against the virus, mass testing, preparation of the medical system and monitoring compliance with the regime of self -isolation and quarantine are necessary, he stressed.
