Officials warned of false negative tests for coronavirus

The Moscow Department of Health warned of a significant share of false negative test results on the Covid-19. The fabril, which the department sent to the leaders of the clinic was studied by Kommersant.

According to the document signed by the head of the department, Alexei Khripun, erroneous tests can lead to the fleeting development of complications. So, the development of severe forms can occur rapidly: sometimes within a few hours, more often on the 3-5th day from the onset of the disease.

According to the department, so far the only reliable method of identifying the development of pneumonia is computed tomography of the lungs and its interpretation in combination with the clinical picture of the disease.
