Heilongjiang province in northern China has introduced round-the-clock patrols of the border with Russia due to an increase in the number of imported cases of coronavirus. It is reported by Bloomberg with reference to the state television channel CCTV.

The Chinese who live and work in Russia began to return en masse to their homeland through the province of Heilongjiang in early April. More than a hundred of them have already confirmed the coronavirus. Most returned to China, arriving in Vladivostok on a flight from Moscow. They then continued by car or bus to a land port on the Suifen River.

Last week, Russia and China already agreed to close the Suifenhe border crossing. Those arriving in the country through it were obliged to undergo quarantine. In addition, the provincial capital, Harbin, has introduced a 28-day quarantine for all travelers.

in China On April 12, 108 new cases of infection were registered , 98 of them were imported. At the same time, 49 cases are those who entered Heilongjiang from Russia. In total, 247 imported cases were recorded in the province.

According to the latest data , a total of 28 cases of coronavirus and two victims have been confirmed in the Primorsky Territory bordering China, two people have already recovered. Six more cases of infection were detected in the Amur Region, one patient died.
