It is difficult to find a point with which the salvation of a child has become a national idea. The same act, post, bell that launched the mechanism of this universal philanthropy. However, it is clear that everything began on April 2. At that time, the situation was like this: Ilya’s parents had 23 million rubles and exactly a week in order to collect the amount that was missing for the purchase-something about 156 million at the ruble rate at that time. A hopeless, it would seem, situation.

Anastasia Troshina, the head of the public movement “Help“ SMA ”, wrote to the“ New ” - asked for help. We published the text “Seven days for Ilya”, in which we posed a question for the readers the edge: to scroll through the story of a dying boy or save his life. The next day, the family had already been 30 million.

Further, the flywheel spun at an incredible speed. Moreover, the task became more real - the collection with the consent of the doctors was extended for six days.

Twelve days from April 2 to 13, people from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok continuously, 24/7, transferred money for Ilya.

The amounts of fees per day became colossal: 17 million rubles a day, 15 million rubles per day. And at the same time - not a single translation “with six zeros”. But many thousands of donations for 100, 200, 300, 1000 rubles. There were also donations for 300,000 rubles: someone gave money to the salvation of the boy, carefully deposited for several years.

By April 13, it remained to collect 41 million rubles. 41 million - and a little more than a day. Help from “people with money” is unlikely to be waiting for anyone. But she came. Around 16.30 in Moscow, the unity of people who have one hundred rubles took place with people who have tens of millions. The philanthropist Marina closed the collection.

Now Ilya should be injected. This should happen-as recommended by doctors-until April 22, until its two years, at the Almazov National Medical Research Center in St. Petersburg.
