
Nine doctors and nurses of hospital No. 3 of the Lyubertsy regional hospital were diagnosed with coronavirus, RBC reports with reference to the surgical department of the hospital Igor Mikalyan.
According to him, patients with suspicion of coronavirus until seven days were in the department in anticipation of test results. Only after confirming the diagnosis, they were moved to special reprofiled beds. At the same time, the therapeutic department was not prepared for work in the conditions of the Covid-19 epidemic.
Another hospital employee No. 3 of the Lyubertsy Regional Hospital said that due to the heavy load, patients with pneumonia were also distributed to other departments. Their employees had to take tests on the Covid-19-the results showed that nine doctors were infected with the virus. Departments of therapy, neurology and cardiology were closed to quarantine.
According to the source of RBC, the doctors did not have respirators and other necessary personal protective equipment.
“I had contacts with patients with a clinical picture of the coronavirus infection, while in the arsenal there were only one -time cap, gloves and a paper mask,” said the hospital employee.
Since March 2020, employees of Russian hospitals complained about the lack of personal protective equipment. On March 7, in the Ministry of Industry and Trade, a deficit of protective costumes in the regions was estimated at 300 thousand pieces.
According to the Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko, medical facilities were faced with a lack of necessary medical facilities, which "did not hear the call to start preparing in advance." He noted that the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Industry and Trade "monitor the situation and try to make up for the deficit where it arises."
