The second patient with coronavirus died in Buryatia

The patient with coronavirus infection died in Buryatia. She had concomitant pathologies, the sick spent 17 days in intensive care.

The second death from coronavirus infection is recorded in Buryatia. An 86-year-old patient died in the republican infectious diseases hospital, the press service of the regional Ministry of Health said.

“The woman had severe chronic concomitant diseases, primarily the cardiovascular system. From the first day of hospitalization, the patient was put in intensive care, she was on the Ivl apparatus for six days, ”said the Minister of Health of the Republic Evgeny Ludupova. “At this age, it is difficult for the body to resist coronaviral infection, therefore, again and again, we ask all the inhabitants of the republic to protect and take care of elderly relatives, not to endanger them and observe the regime of self -isolation.”

The patient’s infection was confirmed on March 28. She spent 17 days in intensive care, added to the Ministry of Health.

This is the second death from coronavirus in Buryatia. In the region, 92 cases of illness were recorded, 22 people were discharged. Seven are in intensive care, the 90-year-old patient is on the apparatus of artificial lung ventilation, the authorities said.

In Russia, according to official figures, more than 21 thousand cases of disease are recorded. 170 people died, almost 1.7 thousand recovered.
