The first day of operation of the throughput system in Moscow on Wednesday threatens taxi drivers and their passengers with serious problems: the city hall only in the evening of Tuesday decided on a taxi check system, and the aggregators led by Yandex.Taxi will have to establish work overnight.

On Tuesday, April 14, at about 20:00 Moscow time, the city hall issued explanations about how taxi drivers will check the passes of Muscovites after the access control on April 15.

Initially, it was assumed that the passenger would drive a pass code in the application of the aggregators, but this decision could not be implemented in a short time. Instead, the checks of the passes were transferred to taxi drivers. They will have to check the reality of the passenger code and its compliance with the route using the “Assistant Moscow” application, which taxi drivers will have to install on smartphones. “We will monitor the situation every day and make the number of orders and the number of checks of passes, if their number does not match, we will understand,” the city hall said.

The aggregators do not hide that they were not ready for such a sudden development of events. “In the near future, we will send all the information that we received from the Moscow Department of Transport, our partners - individual entrepreneurs, taxis and their drivers. At the same time, the verification system should be transparent to all participants - for carriers, and for users of services and for law enforcement agencies. To do this, we requested additional clarifications from the Department of Transport for the Regulations of the operation of such a system, ”said The Bell in Yandex.

The Sitimobil service said that they would bring information to partners, and the company “strictly complies with the requirements of regulatory authorities and is especially attentive to all the procedures related to the prevention of the further spread of coronaviral infection”.

A source on the taxi market added in bewilderment that explanations from the Department of Transport came to a taxi taxi only on Tuesday in the evening and a lot of incomprehensible remains in the procedure. “For example, no one understands what a taxi driver should do if a passenger who does not need a pass is being in the car - a journalist, military, judge or policeman. Taxi drivers have no reason to check the certificates from these people, ”he added.

The second interlocutor of The Bell on the market confirmed that the information that taxi drivers would have to be checked only on Tuesday evening, although it was obvious from the very beginning that it was technically impossible to integrate checks in the application in such a deadline. “How all this will be performed - no one knows,” he added.

Drivers who will go without passing on personal vehicles, however, will wait for much problem - their trips will be tracking city road chambers, and a fine of 5,000 rubles will be issued for travel under each camera.
