The largest restaurateurs of Russia signed a declaration that should determine the strategy of their work with the lessors. For the first time during the current crisis, market participants intend to solve their problems on their own without the help of the state.

The Federation of restaurateurs and hoteliers (FRIO), one of the first to ask Prime Minister Mishustin on tax and lease benefits, decided not to wait for assistance from the state and independently establish the rules of dialogue between institutions and landlords. On the Internet there was a "Declaration of restaurateurs on lease during the fight against pandemia Covid-19 and the recovery period." It was signed by 283 restaurateurs and 4069 restaurants.
Among the signed are people very famous in the industry. The requirements of the declaration are asked to observe Andrei Dellos (“Pushkin”, “Mumu”), Maxim Polzikov (Ginza Project), Roman Rozhnikovsky (“Robble”), Alexander Kolobov (“Chocolate”, “Vabi Sabi”, “Coffee House”), Alexey Vasilchuk (“Chaikhona No. 1”, Burger Heroes) ("Broke Potato") and others.

“We believe that following the stated position and support from landlords and authorities will contribute to the interests of business, end consumer of services, business partners, as well as the preservation of jobs employees employed in the field of catering, in the current crisis, as well as during the recovery period after it.”

Restaurants that do not work since March 28 have repeatedly talked about problems in the industry in connection with coronavirus. In Moscow and the Moscow Region, due to the introduced quarantine regime, 15 thousand cafes and restaurants were suspended. According to experts, after the quarantine removal, 90% of them may not open: the industry is waiting for the “great depression”. Restaurant’s profit fell before the introduction of the self -isolation regime: as the restaurateurs federation said, in early March, restaurant revenue decreased by 30-60% year, by the end of the month collapsed by 90%.
