Facebook creates an isolated simulation of its platform with bots instead of real users. It is reported by The Verge.
"Shadow" Facebook should become a system that is as similar as possible to a real social network.
With the help of bots that mimic the behavior of real users, the social network hopes to detect bugs - the simulation will run on the same code as the real platform.
For example, creating rogue bots that are able to access a large number of "private" data from other bots after some update in the simulation will help prevent real scammers or hackers from stealing real user information.
