In the Moscow region, a court fined a journalist under a protocol for non-compliance with “social distance”

In the Moscow region, the Royal City Court found local journalist Roman Ivanov guilty of failure to comply with police demands (Article 19.3 of the Administrative Code). This is reported by Apology-Protest.

According to the prosecution, Ivanov refused to comply with the police’s instructions to maintain a “social distance” of 1 meter. The court imposed a fine on Ivanov in the amount of 1,000 rubles.

• Journalist Roman Ivanovwas detained on April 5, when he, together with local residents, observed land work for which there were no permits. Then a report was drawn up against the detainee under the article on failure to comply with the police’s demands (Part 1 of Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences), but on April 9 the court did not accept the materials and returned them to the police. On April 10, the police drew up new protocols under two articles: about non-compliance with the sanitary and epidemiological requirement of a distance of 1 meter from other citizens (Part 2 of Article 6.3 of the Administrative Code), as well as about failure to comply with the police requirement “to maintain a distance of at least one meter from others citizens" (Part 1 of Article 19.3 of the Administrative Code).
