Over the past 24 hours, 3,448 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Russia in 78 regions, and 34 people have died. The operational headquarters reports this.
The majority of cases are in Moscow (1,370 people), Moscow region (467), St. Petersburg (154), Nizhny Novgorod region (65) and Ingushetia (63).
In total, 27,938 cases of coronavirus have been registered in the country in 84 regions, 232 patients have died, and 2,304 people have recovered.
During the pandemic, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation recommended that doctors consider any case of acute respiratory viral infection as suspicious for coronavirus. According to the ministry, the seasonal incidence of ARVI is declining amid an increase in the incidence of COVID-19. More than 30 million cases of ARVI are registered in Russia every year.
