4,785 new cases of coronavirus recorded in Russia

Over the past 24 hours, 4,785 new cases of coronavirus have been identified in Russia in 79 regions, and 40 deaths have been recorded, the operational headquarters reports .

Most of the infected were found in Moscow (2649), Moscow region (428), St. Petersburg (139). The number of cases in the country has reached 36,793. Over the entire period, 313 deaths have been recorded, and 3,057 people have recovered.

There are no regions left in Russia without coronavirus - on April 16, the first case was registered in the Altai Republic, which remained the last region where the disease was not detected.

According to Moscow Deputy Mayor for Social Development Anastasia Rakova, the peak incidence of coronavirus in the capital will occur in the next two to three weeks, but the city’s healthcare system is ready for this.
