Why did the inhabitants of Vladikavkaz go to the rally to the Government House

In Vladikavkaz, a rally continues, which began today at noon. About one and a half thousand people take part in it. The decision to hold a rally was made about three weeks ago, when several people said in Chatev’s chat that they did not believe in the pandemic of coronavirus and consider it a global conspiracy against the “labor people”. At the same time, it is worth noting that Vadim Cheldiev himself lives in St. Petersburg and was not going to come to the rally to his native republic.

In North Ossetia, conversations about the “world conspiracy against” the people and the “fake pandemic” are superimposed on the really difficult economic situation that people faced. After the first week of self -isolation, a significant number of small entrepreneurs in the republic were on the verge of ruin, while the population has practically no savings, and there is nowhere to take money to feed their families. Most likely, it was this factor that turned out to be decisive in order for such a large number of people to gather in the center of Vladikavkaz today. Their “leader” Cheldiev failed to support the protesters even virtually. Three days ago, in St. Petersburg he was detained by the police, accusing him of spreading knowingly false information that can lead to the danger of citizens' life and health. During the transfer to Vladikavkaz, the singer, according to the police, attacked one of them and hit him twice in the face.

That is why the crowd, released today in Vladikavkaz, first demanded the liberation of Vadim Cheldiev.

In addition, the calls were heard every now and then to overthrow the government, open schools, and stop the self -isolation regime. In many ways, because of this conversation with the Vyacheslav Bitarov, who came to the protesting head of the republic, did not work. He was simply not allowed to speak. The same thing happened with other Ossetian officials who tried to convince people to disperse, including State Duma deputy Arthur Taymazov.

In the end, officials persuaded the crowd to form an initiative group to talk with the head of the republic. People really talked with him in his office. According to them, the main topics of the conversation was the liberation of Vadim Cheldiev and economic assistance to those who were in a difficult situation due to the self-isolation regime.

The intensity of passions was somewhat slept, but people still do not diverge. Throughout the day, the police behaved extremely correctly and, despite the large number of special forces fighters around the perimeter of the government of the government, large skirmishes were avoided.

What is happening in Vladikavkaz today is largely provoked by the illogical actions of the authorities of the region, which, after the first week of self -isolation, unexpectedly and sharply weakened restrictive measures (launching public transport and opening beauty salons and hairdressers), which forced the inhabitants of North Ossetia to believe that nothing terrible was happening. And when the authorities reported the first cases of coronavirus infection in the republic, many simply did not believe in their existence

And they demanded "provide passport data from the sick."

It even reached the demand to send a “public audit” to the “dirty zone” of the clinical hospital, where now there are infected with the virus.

The main danger after such a “civilian demarche” in North Ossetia is that after a mass action a large outbreak of coronavirus is possible. The head of Rospotrebnadzor North Ossetia, Alan Tibilov, has already called such behavior of people "disaster." The situation with the Covid-19 in the republic is quite complicated. There are already large -scale outbreaks in several Vladikavkaz and district hospitals. Today, the number of infected people is 177 people. But the problem is that there are a lot of doctors among the sick, so in a couple of weeks there may be such a situation that there will simply be no one to treat people.

At about 18:00 Moscow time, clashes of citizens and the police resumed. Stones flew towards the security forces. Special forces cleaned the square in front of the government’s house, but people do not diverge.
