A criminal case was opened against a resident of Rostov-on-Don for selling weight loss products that contain the banned substance sibutramine. This was reported on the website of the Southern Operational Customs.
When the girl came to the post office to receive the packages, in her boxes they found weight loss drugs “Beelight”, “Cyclonic weight loss - magic beans”, “Royal bean for weight loss” and “Pepper for weight loss slimming capsule ” . The funds were sent for examination, which revealed that they contained sibutramine, which is included in the list of potent and toxic substances.
As stated in the customs report, she organized the supply of drugs from Kazakhstan and sold them through Instagram “under the guise of cosmetics.” The drugs “Fermentaize”, “Ideal Weight Loss”, “Spirulina” and other weight loss products were found at the defendant’s home and in the warehouse of the online store. They also contain sibutramine. More than six kilograms of medical supplies were confiscated from her.
A criminal case was opened against a local resident on smuggling of potent substances (Part 1 of Article 226.1 of the Criminal Code) and illegal trafficking of potent substances for the purpose of sale (Part 3 of Article 234 of the Criminal Code).
Previously, an Orenburg woman received a year and a half in prison for ordering a weight loss drug with sibutramine from Kazakhstan; a resident of Volzhsky received a year in prison for purchasing the product “Cyclonic Weight Loss - Magic Beans.”
